Analysis on the Relationship between Turnover Intention and Job Stressors of Nurses in Private Hospitals in Huizhou
Abstract:Objective:To investigate the turnover intention and job stress of nurses in private hospitals in Huizhou .Methods:Cluster ran-dom sampling method was used to select 402 female registered nurses in private hospitals in May ,2014 to July,2015.Using the self-made general situation questionnaire is to investigate general statistics of patients .The nurses′job stressors scale and the turnover intention scale of nurses were used to investigate the relationship between nurses′turnover intention and job stress ,and the correlation between these two factors.Results:The turnover intention of different age ,different education ,different positions of the nurses were statistically significant ( P<0.05,P<0.01).The"allocation of time and workload pressure entry"score is(3.35 ±0.74) points,scoring higher than other work stress items in the scale.The turnover intention of nurses,the allocation of time and workload,patient care,nursing and professional work were positively correlated(P<0.01,P<0.05).Conclusion:Private hospital nurses work pressure is relatively higher .The factors including different age ,educational background and duty influences the private hospital nurses ′turnover intention .The turnover intention positively associated with the allocation of time and workload ,patient care,nursing profession and work.The private hospital managers should deal with the nurses with different age ,educational background and duty ,so as to improve their work enthusiasm and reduce their turnover rate.
