A Meta Analysis of Music Therapy on Anxiety and Depression in Patients with Breast Cancer

Abstract：Objective:To analyze the effects of music therapy on anxiety and depression in patients with breast cancer.Methods:Through randomized controlled trials on music therapy to improve the anxiety and depression of patients with breast cancer retrieval network database,according to certain standards of literature screening and quality evaluation,we did meta analysis on the qualified literature by RevMan5.0 software.Results:Three of total eight articles included in the study,both reported anxiety and depression;the four articles reported only anxiety;the one article only reported depression.Meta analysis showed that music therapy can both ameliorate anxiety (Z =5.64,P ＜ 0.05) and depression (Z =4.01,P ＜ 0.05) in patients with breast cancer.Conclusion:Music therapy can significantly improve the anxiety and depression of patients with breast cancer.
