Abstract:Objective:To explore the application effect of Oremn self-care theory in the functional recovery of breast cancer patients with modified radical mastectomy. Methods:A total of 60 cases with modified radical mastectomy from January 2014 to December 2015 were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group with 30 cases in each group. The control group was given the routine nursing measures. The patients in the observation group were evaluated on the basis of the above analysis. On this basis, the patients were treated with complete compensation system, partial compensation system and support education system. Two months later, the joint movement degree(ROM)was used to measure the maximum motion curve of the affected joints. The quality of life of the patients in two groups was investigated by SF-36 quality of life scale. Results:Patients in the observation group were significantly superior to those in the control group in flexion, extension, flexion, abduction, external rotation activity. The difference between two groups was statistically significant (P <0.05).Two groups' quality of life scores after intervention were significantly higher than those before the intervention, and the scores of QOL in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).Conclusion:The application of Orem self-care theory in patients with breast cancer surgery can significantly improve the shoulder joint activity, improve the self-care ability and quality of life of patients, and it is worthy of clinical application.
