Effects of Respiratory Management Team on Rehabilitation and Quality of Life in Children with Asthma

Abstract:Objective:To explore effects of respiratory management team on rehabilitation and quality of life in children with asthma.Methods:A total of 120 patients were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group with 60 cases in each group.The control group was applied respiratory medicine routine nursing during hospitalization time,while the observation group established respiratory management team on the basis of the control group.At discharge and 6 months after discharge,the pulmonary function,treatment compliance,disease management condition,an readmission rate and the improved condition of quality of life were compared between two groups.Results:6 months after discharge,the observation group's blood oxygen saturation(SaO2),first expiratory volume(FEV1) and peak expiratory flow rate (PEF) were significantly higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05),and the observation group treatment compliance was significantly higher than that in the control group(P < 0.05).While the readmission rate was significantly lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05),and asthma attacks were less than that in the control group(P < 0.05).6 months after discharge,the total scores of social,psychological,physiological,and environmental part and quality of life in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P <0.05).Conclusion:Respiratory management team can improve asthma children after discharge disease management ability and treatment compliance,improve children's lung function,improve children's quality of life.
