The Effects of Group Counseling on Sandplay Therapy Combined with Rehabilitation of Children with ADHD

Abstract：Objective:To explore the effects of group counseling on Sandplay therapy combined with rehabilitation of children with atten -tion deficit hyperactivity disorder ( ADHD) .Methods:A total of 68 cases with ADHD were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group with 34 cases in each group .The control group was given routine drug treatment and rehabilitation guidance ,while the observation group was given the sandplay therapy combined with group counseling on the basis of the control group .The core symptoms be-fore and after nursing care ,executive function ,behavior problems and self management ability and interpersonal skills were compared be -tween two groups .Results:Two groups′core symptoms after nursing care ,executive function ,behavior problems and self management ability and interpersonal skills are significantly better than that before treatment (P <0.05).After nursing care,the observation group′s core symptoms,executive function,behavior problems and interpersonal skills scores were significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.05),and self management ability score was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Sandplay therapy com-bined with group counseling has a positive impact on the rehabilitation of children with ADHD,can significantly improve the nursing effects.
