The Effects of Hope Theory Combined with Special Health Education on Patients with Epilepsy

Abstract:Objective:To explore the effects of the theory of joint special health education on the physical and mental status of patients with epilepsy.Methods:A total of 80 cases with epilepsy were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group with 40 ca-ses in each group .The control group was given conventional nursing care ,while the observation group was given hope theory combined with special health education intervention .After the intervention ,we conducted a questionnaire survey by using mental illness stigma scale ( SS-MI)and symptom Checklist -90(SCL-90),to understand the patients′physical and mental status.Results:The scores of SSMI scale and SCL-90 scale in the observation group were better than those in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of hope theory combined with health education in epilepsy patients ,can effectively reduce the stigma of patients ,improve the patient's mental state,to bet-ter control the disease .
