Root Cause Analysis to Reduce the Incidence of Sharp Injury Practice Effect of Nursing Students

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the root cause analysis ( RCA) to reduce the incidence of sharp injury effect of nursing students . Methods:During the year 2012 to 2013,a total of 126 intern nursing students who did not carry out the RCA method were taken as the con -trol group,and a total of 133 intern nursing students who carried out the RCA method were taken as the study group during the year 2014 to 2015.Then the incidence of sharp injuries of nursing students in internship was compared between two groups .Results:The incidence of practice sharp injuries of the study group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.01).Conclusion:The RCA method can effectively prevent the incidence of sharp injuries in the practice of intern nursing students ,and is an effective method to occupation exposure manage-ment for intern nursing students .
