Construction and implementation of prevention system for postoperative DVT of elderly patients in the department of urology

Abstract：Objective:To explore the construction and implementation effect of prevention system for postoperative deep venous thrombo -sis ( DVT) of elderly patients in the department of urology .Methods:130 elderly patients undergoing urological surgery were randomly di-vided into the control group and the intervention group (65 cases in each group).The routine nursing care was given to the patients in the perioperative period in the control group and the prevention system for postoperative DVT was strictly abided by in the intervention group , the intervention effect was compared between the two groups .Results:The scores of patient ’ s awareness of the related knowledge about DVT prevention ,attitude and behavior were higher 3 and 7 days later after operation than those before operation in the intervention group and the scores were higher in the intervention group than the control group after operation (P<0.05);the scores of patient’s awareness of the related knowledge about DVT prevention ,attitude and behavior were higher in the intervention group than the control group 7 days later after operation(P<0.05);the incidence of DVT was lower in the intervention group than the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:The scientific and standardized prevention system for postoperative DVT of elderly patients in the department of urology can effectively relieve related symptoms and reduce the incidence of postoperative DVT .
