Effect of risk management for local y advanced nasopharyngeal cancer patients with concurrent radiotherapy and chemotherapy

Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of risk management on patients with locally advanced nasopharyngeal cancer treated with concurrent radiotherapy and chemotherapy .Methods:84 cancer patients who received treatment of cetuximab combined with concurrent ra -diotherapy were divided into the observation group and the control group (42 cases in each group ) according to the time of admission .The routine nursing care was given to the patients during treatment in the control group and the risk management was adopted in the observation group,the clinical curative effect ,adverse reaction and side -effects,accidental risk and satisfaction rate were analyzed and compared be-tween the two groups .Results:The total effective rate and compliance rate was higher in the observation group than the control group ( P<0.05);the incidence of complications of radioactive dermatitis ,oral mucositis,acne like rash,nausea and vomiting,bone marrow suppres-sion and the occurrence rate of extravasation of chemotherapeutic drugs were lower in the observation group than the control group ( P<0.05);the patients′satisfactory rate was higher than the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:Application of nursing risk management can effectively reduce the adverse reactions and toxic and side effects of the cancer patients receiving concurrent radiotherapy and chemo -therapy ,and it can improve the treatment effect and patient satisfaction .
