Application of acupuncture and exercise therapy based combined with nursing care in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation

Abstract：To explore the application effect of acupuncture and exercise therapy combined with nursing care in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation .Methods:100 patients with lumbar disc herniation were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group (50 cases in each group).The routine nursing care was only taken in the control group and extra acupuncture and exercise therapy com -bined with nursing care was adopted in the observation group .VAS,Macnab backleg pain scale and ODI were used to evaluate and compare the clinical effect between the two groups respectively in one week ,2 weeks,30,60 and 90 days after nursing care .Results:The scores of VAS,Macnab backleg pain scale and ODI were superior in the observation group to the control group ( P<0.05,P<0.01);the symptoms of edema was milder and FAM joint movement was significantly better in the observation group than the control group ( P<0.05,P<0. 01).Conclusion:The acupuncture and exercise therapy combined with nursing care can significantly reduce the edema and pain and pro -mote restoration of motor function in the treatment of patients with lumbar disc herniation .
