Effect of Wechat type extended care on the level of hope and mental status of the discharged patients with cardiac cancer

Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of Wechat type extended care on the level of hope and mental status of the discharged patients with cardiac cancer.Methods:38 patients with cardiac cancer treated from January 2011 to December 2012 were taken as the control group and the patients in this group were given discharge guidance and intervention outside hospital;other 45 patients(from January 2013 to January 2015)were taken as the observation group,the patients in this group were provided extra Wechat type extended care after discharge.The level of hope and mental status of the discharged patients were compared between the two groups.Results:The overall scores of the patient's positive attitude,positive action,intimacy and hope were higher in the observation group than the control group after 3 months of discharge (P < 0.05);the scores of the SAS,SDS and SCL-90 were lower in the observation group than the control group after 3 months of discharge(P <0.05).Conclusion:The Wechat type extended care can meet the needs of nursing care of patients with cardiac cancer after discharge,alleviate their adverse psychological status and improve the level of hope as well.
