Application of adjuvant nursing intervention in laryngeal cancer patients with radiotherapy and chemotherapy after surgery

Abstract：Objective:To explore the application method and effect of adjuvant nursing intervention in laryngeal cancer patients with radiotherapy and chemotherapy after surgery.Methods:60 laryngeal cancer patients with postoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy were randomly divided into the control group and the intervention group (30 cases in each group).The patients in the control group were given routine perioperative nursing care and the patients in the intervention group were provided adjuvant nursing intervention,the nursing effect was compared between the two groups.Results:The scores of the functions and the overall health status of the patients were higher in the intervention group than the control group (P ＜ 0.05);the scores of symptoms like fatigue,nausea,vomiting,pain,shortness of breath,insomnia and loss of appetite were lower in the intervention group than the control group(P ＜0.05).Conclusion:The adjuvant nursing intervention can improve the quality of life of laryngeal cancer patients with postoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
