Application of the skin - isolated catheter fixation method based on goal - driven catheter management in ICU
Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of applying the skin - isolated catheter fixation method based on goal - driven catheter man-agement in ICU. Methods:60 patients with indwelling catheter(from Jul. to Dec. 2014)were taken as the control group and other 60 pa-tients after application of the skin - isolated catheter fixation method(from Jan. to Jun. 2015)were taken as the experimental group, the effect of catheter fixation, incidence of pressure sore and the score of comfort were compared between the two groups. Results:The number of cumulative fixation times, time - consumption of changing adhesive plaster, fall - off of catheter and incidence of pressure sore were sig-nificantly less and lower in the experimental group than the control group(P < 0. 05);the time - consumption of changing adhesive plaster and the score of comfort was significantly less and higher in the experimental group than the control group(P < 0. 05). Conclusion:The skin - isolated catheter fixation method based on goal - driven catheter management in ICU can improve the effect of catheter fixation and reduce the incidence of pressure sore so as to improve the patient′s comfort.
