Qualitative study on the needs of nursing service for patients with breast cancer surgery

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the needs of nursing service for patients with breast cancer surgery in order to improve the nursing methods. Methods:The phenomenological research method of qualitative study was used to conduct the semi - structured interview with 16 patients with breast cancer. Results:The 4 major themes were summed up through reading,analysis,reflection,classification and abstrac-tion,including the demand for surgical safety,standard treatment and nursing care,the demand for operation information and knowledge,the demand for psychological and emotional support and the demand for the continued nursing services after discharge. Conclusion:Providing appropriate nursing care according to the special needs of patients with breast surgery by medical staff can promote the smooth development of high quality nursing service.
