Effect of nursing intervention on negative emotion and quality of life of patients with acute respiratory infection

Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of nursing intervention on negative emotion and quality of life of patients with acute respira-tory infections. Methods:138 patients with acute respiratory infection were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group(69 cases in each group). The patients in the control group received routine nursing care and the patients in the observation group were provided nursing intervention. The nursing effect,negative emotion,life quality and satisfaction of the patients were observed in the two groups. Results:The patient′s awareness of health knowledge,consciousness of self - protection,development of good habits and infection were better and less in the observation group than the control group(P ﹤ 0. 05);the SAS and SDS scores were lower in the observation group than the control group after nursing care(P ﹤ 0. 05);the scores of ADL and QOL were higher in the observation group than the con-trol group after nursing care(P ﹤ 0. 05);the satisfaction rate was higher in the observation group than the control group(P ﹤ 0. 05). Con-clusion:Application of nursing intervention to patients with acute respiratory infection can increase the patient′s awareness rate of disease -related knowledge and improve their psychological mood and quality of life.
