Abstract:Objective:Toinvestigatetheeffectoftheextendedcareontheprognosisofyoungpatientswithfemoralneckfracturetreated with internal fixation. Methods:44 selected patients treated from January 2012 to June 2013 were taken as the control group;other 44 pa-tients treated from September 2013 to December 2014 were taken as the intervention group. All patients in the two groups were treated with compression internal fixation with hollow screw. The patients in the control group received routine nursing care and the patients in the inter-vention group were provided the extended care. The postoperative fracture healing rate, ischemia necrosis rate and the score of hip joint function of the patients were compared between the two groups. Results:The healing rate of femoral neck was higher in the intervention group than the control group after 12 months of operation(P﹤0. 05);the ischemic necrosis rate was lower in the intervention group than the control group after 12 and 24 months of operation(P﹤0. 05);the excellent and good rate of hip joint function score was higher in the intervention group than the control group after 12 months of operation(P﹤0. 05). Conclusion:The extended care can improve the healing rate of femoral neck, reduce the rate of ischemic necrosis and promote postoperative restoration of hip function of the patients.
