Abstract:Objective:To explore the application method and effect of health education combined with PDCA cycle in the prevention of deep venous thrombosis(DVT)after hip and knee replacement surgery. Methods:70 patients undergoing hip and knee replacement surgery were randomly divided into the study group and the control group(35 cases in each group). The routine health education was conducted in the control group and PDCA cycle was additionally implemented in the study group. The D - dimer and plasma coagulation parameters, the ultrasound examination results by color Doppler, the cognition on rehabilitation exercise and compliance rate of rehabilitation exercise were compared between the two groups before and after surgery. Results:The postoperative D - dimer concentration was 2. 09 ± 0. 94 mg/ L in the study group and significantly lower than 3. 11 ±1. 24 mg/ L in the control group(P ﹤0. 05);the activated partial thromboplastin time was 34. 41 ±675 seconds in the study group and significantly longer than 30. 70 ±7. 04 seconds in the control group( P ﹤0. 05);the patency of blood flow, the cognition on rehabilitation exercise and compliance rate of rehabilitation exercise were significantly better and higher and the incidence of DVT and blood stasis rate were significantly lower in the study group than those in the control group(P ﹤0. 05). Conclusion :Application of health education combined with PDCA cycle can effectively reduce the level of D - dimer and improve the cognition on rehabilitation exercise and compliance rate of rehabilitation exercise of the patients so as to effectively prevent the incidence of DVT after hip and knee replacement surgery.
