Abstract:Objective:To investigate the application effect of doctor - nurse collaboration in analgesia and sedation strategy in ICU pa-tients with mechanical ventilation. Methods:139 ICU patients with mechanical ventilation were randomly divided into the experimental group(n = 70)and the control group(n = 69). The doctor - nurse collaboration in ICU analgesia and sedation strategy was adopted in the experimental group and the conventional analgesia and sedation strategy was implemented in the control group. The CMSS was used to as-sess the collaboration between doctors and nurses, and the mechanical ventilation time, length of stay in ICU,dosage of drug use and the in-cidence of unplanned extubation and ventilator associated pneumonia(VAP)were statistically analyzed in the two groups. Results:The scores of CMSS of doctors and nurses were higher in the experimental group than the control group(P < 0. 01);the dosage of drug use,the mechanical ventilation time and length of stay in ICU was less and shorter in the experimental group than the control group(P < 0. 01). Conclusion:The doctor - nurse collaboration in ICU analgesia and sedation strategy can reduce the dosage of drug use, shorten the mechani-cal ventilation and length of stay of the patients in ICU and reduce the incidence of UE and VAP.
