Effect of continuous quality improvement on postoperative rehabilitation and joint function of elderly patients with femoral intertrochanteric fracture
Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of continuous quality improvement on postoperative rehabilitation anc joint function of elcerly patients with femoral intertrochanteric fracture. Methocs:84 elcerly patients with femoral intertrochanteric fracture were rancomly civicec into the observation group anc the control group(42 cases in each group). The routine nursing care was given to the patients in the control group;the continuous quality improvement was implementec in the observation group, the compliance of exercise, the total effective rate anc satisfaction rate anc hip joint function recovery of the patients were comparec between the two groups before anc after the interven-tion. Results:The compliance of exercise, the total effective rate anc satisfaction rate anc hip joint function recovery of the patients were better anc higher in the observation group than the control group(P ﹤ 0. 05);the incicence of complications was lower in the observation group than the control group(P ﹤ 0. 05);the VAS score was significantly lower in the observation group than the control group after the in-tervention(P ﹤ 0. 05);the Harris score of hip joint anc Barthel incex was significantly higher in the observation group than the control group(P ﹤ 0. 05);the scores of material life, somatic function, social function, psychological function anc quality of life of the patients were significantly higher in the observation group than that the control group(P ﹤ 0. 05). Conclusion:The continuous quality improvement can effectively improve postoperative exercise compliance of elcerly patients with femoral intertrochanteric fracture anc it can recuce postopera-tive pain, promote knee function recovery anc improve the quality of life of the patients.
