Effect of nursing intervention of the integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine on patients with cerebral infarction

Abstract：Objective:To explore the effect of nursing intervention of the integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine on emo-tion,motor function,nerve function and quality of life of patients with cerebral infarction. Methods:40 patients with cerebral infarction were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group(20 cases in each group). The patients in the two groups were all given conventional treatment after admission. The patients in the control group received routine nursing care of Western medicine and the patients in the observation group were provided extra TCM nursing intervention. The changes of emotion,the improvement of motor and nerve func-tion and quality of life of the patients were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention. Results:The scores of SAS and SDS and neurological deficit of the patients were lower after the intervention than those before the intervention in the two groups(P <0. 05);the scores were lower in the observation group than the control group after the intervention(P < 0. 05);the scores of upper and lower extremity muscle strength and the scores of social function,physical function and psychological function of the patients were higher after the intervention than those before the intervention in the two groups(P < 0. 05)and the scores were significantly higher in the obser-vation group than the control group after the intervention(P < 0. 05). Conclusion:The nursing intervention of the integrated traditional Chi-nese and Western medicine is an effective supplementary measure in the treatment of elderly patients with cerebral infarction. It is of great significance to improve the psychological state,the movement and nerve function and the quality of life of the patients as well.
