Application of clinical nursing path in health education for patients with myasthenia gravis

Abstract：Objective:To explore the application effect of clinical nursing path(CNP)in health education for patients with myasthenia gravis. Methods:70 patients with myasthenia gravis were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group(35 cases in each group). The conventional health education was conducted in the control group;the health education based on implementation of CNP was given to the patients in the observation group. The patient′s awareness of disease - related knowledge,recurrence of the disease,psycho-logical status,quality of life and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention. Results:The patient′s awareness of disease - related knowledge was better in the observation group than the control group after the intervention(P < 0. 05);the scores of SAS,SDS and SES were superior in the observation group to the control group(P < 0. 05);the scores of SF - 36 were higher in the observation group than the control group(P < 0. 05);the nursing satisfaction rate was higher in the observation group than the control group(P < 0. 05);the recurrence rate of the disease was lower in the observation group than the control group within one year after discharge(P < 0. 05). Conclusion:Implementation of CNP in health education for patients with myasthenia gravis can help them mas-ter the disease - related knowledge,reduce the recurrence rate of the disease and improve their quality of life.
