Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of postoperative enteral and parenteral nutritional support on patients with chronic renal failure complicated with hepatolithiasis.Methods:60 patients with chronic renal failure complicated with hepatolithiasis were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group (30 cases in each group). The parenteral nutrition (PN) was given to the patients in the control group and the enteral nutrition (EN) and PN support were given to the patients in the observation group after operation. The heat provided by nasogastric feeding from 24 to 72 hours after operation was 30% of total calories and increased to 50% 72 hours later. The nutrition was provided by full EN support 7 days later and insufficient heat was supplemented by PN.Results:After the intervention, the levels of ALB,HB and TRF were significantly higher in the observation group than those in the control group (P < 0.001);the serum creatinine level was significantly lower in the observation group than the control group after the intervention (P < 0.05);there was no statistically significant difference in the comparison of the incidence of complications between the two groups (P > 0.05);the first anal exhaust time and hospitalization time was earlier and shorter in the observation group than the control group after the intervention (P < 0.001).Conclusion:Application of EN and PN support can improve the nutritional status of patients with renal failure complicated with hepatolithiasis, reduce the level of serum creatinine and shorten the hospitalization time.
