Application of early postoperative ambulation in patients with open thoractomy

Abstract：Objective:To explore the method and effect of application of early postoperative ambulation in patients with open thoractomy.Methods:53 patients undergoing open thoractomy were randomly divided into the observation group n =29) and the control group (n =24).The patients in the control group were given routine nursing care;the early postoperative ambulation was adopted in the observation group,the nursing effect was compared between the two groups.Results:There were statistically significant differences in the comparison of postoperative pulmonary function index,oxygenation index of the patients and the incidence of clinical pulmonary infection between the two groups (P ＜ 0.05);the status of anxiety and depression of the patients was milder after operation than those before operation and it was milder in the observation group than the control group (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion:The early postoperative ambulation can improve postoperative pulmonary function index of patients with open thoractomy and can improve the oxygenation index,reduce pulmonary infection and relieve anxiety and depression of the patients.
