Investigation and analysis of critical thinking ability of undergraduate student nurses
Abstract：Objective:To investigate and analyze the critical thinking ability of undergraduate student nurses in order to provide the basis for the promotion of vocational quality education for nursing undergraduates.Methods:A questionnaire survey was conducted by using critical thinking quality scale (in the Chinese version) to investigate 206 undergraduate student nurses.Results:The total score of critical thinking ability of the investigated student nurses was 255.56 ± 25.135 points,only 17.5％ (36 student nurses) and the total score of the undergraduate student nurses was more than 279 points,which showed a strong critical thinking ability;the score of thirst for knowledge was highest 39.41 ± 5.62 and the score of seeking for truth was lowest 33.18 ± 6.53.Conclusion:The critical thinking ability of undergraduate student nurses should be improved to enhance their professional quality so as to provide better nursing care for patients.
