Abstract：Objective:To investigate the effect of quality control circle(QCC)on shortening the length of stay in the emergency depart-ment in patients with severe trauma. Methods:The QCC team was set up to carry out the activities by using the common quality management tools according the steps of QCC,the effect of QCC implementation was observed. Results:There were statistically significant differences in the comparison of the average rescue time and reception time in the emergency department before and after QCC implementation(P <0. 01);the capacity of the QCC team members significantly improved after QCC implementation. Conclusion:Implementation of QCC can shorten the length of stay of patients with severe trauma in the emergency department so as to improve the work efficiency.
