Application of Orem self - care model in patients with percutaneous renal biopsy under ultrasonic guidance

Abstract：Objective:To explore the application methods and effect of Orem self - care model in patients with percutaneous renal biopsy under ultrasonic guidance. Methods:160 patients undergoing percutaneous renal biopsy under ultrasonic guidance were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group(80 cases in each group). The patients in the control group were given routine nursing care and the patients in the observation group were provided Orem self - care model,the effect of nursing care were compared between the two groups. Results:There were statistically significant differences in the comparison of the incidence of postoperative complications,hospi-talization time,re - admission rate and satisfaction rate between the two groups(P < 0. 05). Conclusion:Application of the Orem self - care model applied to patients with percutaneous renal biopsy under ultrasonic guidance can reduce postoperative complications,shorten hospital stay,decrease the re - admission rate and improve satisfaction rate.
