Abstract：Objective:To investigate the present situation of independent learning ability of student nurses and to analyze the influencing factors in order to provide the basis for improving the clinical teaching method and the independent learning ability of student nurses as well.Methods:The independent learning self -rating scale of nursing staff was used to investigate the independent learning ability of 175 student nurses and analyze the influencing factors.Results:The total score of the independent learning ability of student nurses was 78.68+18.37,and the factors affecting their learning ability were educational level,professional interest,clinical teaching satisfaction and col-lective teaching interest.Conclusion:The independent learning ability of student nurses is in the medium level and the ability is influenced by many factors.The college administrators should enhance the independent learning ability of student nurses by improving the clinical teaching methods.
