Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of application of uninterrupted reminiscence therapy to the rehabilitation of cognitive function in elderly patients after stroke. Methods:120 elderly patients with cognitive dysfunction after cerebral stroke were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group(60 cases in each group). The patients in both groups were given treatment with oxirace-tam,the patients in the control group received routine health education and the patients in the observation group were additionally given un-interrupted reminiscence therapy. The course of treatment was 6 months. The change of scores of MoCA,MMSE and ADL were observed be-fore and after the intervention in the two groups and the clinical therapeutic effect was evaluated. Results:The scores of MoCA,MMSE and ADL were significantly improved in the two groups after the intervention(P ﹤ 0. 05);the improvement was better in the observation group than the control group(P ﹤ 0. 05);the total effective rate of the improvement was significantly higher in the observation group than the con-trol group(P ﹤ 0. 05). Conclusion:The uninterrupted reminiscence therapy can significantly improve the cognitive function of elderly pa-tients with stroke.
