Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of nursing physical examination in physical check - up on the assessment of the potential and poor cognitive function of the elderly people without obviously cognitive problems. Methods:1 440 elderly people with obviously cognitive problems were selected. The Montreal cognitive assessment scale( MoCA),activities of daily living and Kessler mental disorder scale (K6)were used to respectively determine the cognitive function, self - care ability and the mental health status of the elderly people, the correlation between the status of physical fitness and cognitive function was analyzed by multiple linear regression analysis. Results:The a-nalysis showed that the scores of 5 items of physical fitness after adjustment of age and gender were significantly correlated with MoCA scores(P ﹤ 0. 01);after adjustment of age, gender, education level and BMI,the scores of 5 items of physical fitness were significantly cor-related with MoCA scores(P ﹤0. 01);the correlation between the scores of 5 items of physical fitness and MoCA scores changed little after adjustment of other influencing factors(P ﹤0. 01). Conclusion:Each index of physical fitness has the effect to identify the markers of the sin-gle lifestyle of the elderly population with poor cognitive function, thus it can be used to detect cognitive dysfunction as early as possible.
