Abstract:Objective:To investigate the application effect of first - aid nursing process in the rescue of acute and critically ill patients. Methods:50 acute and critically ill patients(from January to December 2012)were taken as the control group and other 50 acute and criti-cally ill patients(from January 2013 to April 2014)were taken as the observation group. The routine nursing care was taken in the control group and the first - aid nursing process was implemented in the observation group, the time and cost of emergency treatment, the length of stay in hospital and the prognosis and the satisfaction of the patients were compared between the two groups. Results:There were statistical-ly significant differences in the comparison of the time and cost of emergency treatment and the length of stay in hospital of the patients be-tween the two groups(P ﹤ 0. 05);the satisfaction rate of the patients with nursing service was higher in the observation group than the con-trol group(P ﹤ 0. 05);the prognosis of the patients in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P ﹤ 0. 05). Conclu-sion:The first - aid nursing process applied to the rescue of acute and critically ill patients can significantly shorten the time of emergency treatment and length of stay in hospital, reduce the cost of treatment and improve the prognosis of the patients.
