Application of CNP in health education to stroke patients with smoking

Abstract:Objective:To explore the application of clinical nursing pathway(CNP)in health education to stroke patients with smoking. Methods:64 stroke patients with smoking were randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group(32 cases in each group). The conventional health education method was used in the control group and the patients in the experimental group were given health education in accordance with CNP,the awareness of the related knowledge of tobacco,attitude towards giving up smoking,status of abandoning smoking and the satisfaction rate of the patients with health education were compared between the two groups before and after admission. Results:The awareness of the related knowledge of tobacco,attitude towards giving up smoking,status of abandoning smoking and the satisfaction rate of the patients with health education were better and higher in the experimental group than those in the control group(P ﹤ 0. 05). Conclusion:The health education method in the light of CNP can help stroke patients quit smoking effectively and can improve their awareness of the related knowledge of tobacco and satisfaction with health education.
