Application of cognitive therapy in patients with schizophrenia associated with depressive disorder

Abstract：Objective:To explore the application method and effect of cognitive therapy in patients with schizophrenia associated with depressive disorder. Methods:68 patients with schizophrenia associated with depressive disorder were randomly divided into the study group and the control group(34 cases in each group). The patients in the control group were given routine treatment and nursing care;the pa-tients in the study group were treated with cognitive therapy on the basis of the routine one,the nursing effect was compared between the two groups. Results:The HAMD score was lower before discharge than that on admission in the two groups(P < 0. 01);the HAMD score in the study group was lower than that in the control group before discharge(P < 0. 05);there were statistically significant differences in the comparison of anxiety/ somatization,diurnal variation,retardarce and feeling of despair of the patients between the two groups(P < 0. 05);the scores of BPRS and SANS were lower after the treatment than those before the treatment in the two groups(P < 0. 05);the comparison of the curative effect was not significantly different between the two groups(P > 0. 05);the difference in the comparison of the 6 - month and one - year follow - up results was statistically significant between the two groups(P < 0. 05). Conclusion:The cognitive therapy can improve the psychological state of patients with schizophrenia associated with depressive disorder and can improve the cognitive function of the patients and optimize the treatment effect.
