Application of preoperative interview and postoperative fol ow - up to surgical patients

Abstract：Objective:To explore the application method and effect of the preoperative interview and postoperative follow - up conducted by medical staff of operation room to the surgical patients. Methods:160 surgical patients were randomly divided into the control group and the intervention group(80 cases in each group). The patients in the control group were given routine nursing care;the preoperative inter-view and postoperative follow - up was conducted in the intervention group based on the routine one. The nursing effect was compared be-tween the two groups. Results:There were statistically significant differences in the comparison of the patients' stress state one hour before operation,the degree of pain and patient satisfaction between the two groups(P < 0. 01,P < 0. 05). Conclusion:The preoperative interview and postoperative follow - up can improve the stress state of the patients before operation,relieve pain and improve satisfaction.
