Effect of scenario simulation health education on the healthy lifestyle of patients with PICC

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the effect of scenario simulation health education on the healthy lifestyle of patients with peripheral-ly inserted central catheter ( PICC) . Methods:130 patients with PICC in our hospital were randomly divided into the observation group ( n=61) and the control group (n=69). The scenario simulation health education method was applied in the observation group and the con-ventional health education method was used in the control group. The healthy lifestyle of the patients and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results:The scores of healthy lifestyle of the patients changed with time going on (P<0. 01);There was statistically significant difference in the comparison of healthy lifestyle of the patients between the two groups after 10 days,one month, 2 and 3 months of the intervention (P<0. 01);the incidence of complications was lower in the observation group than the control group (P<0. 01). Conclusion:The scenario simulation health education method can promote the implementation of healthy lifestyle,improve the self-management ability of patients with PICC and reduce the incidence of complications.
