Effect of self-management intervention on asthma control level and quality of life in patients with bronchial asthma

Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of self-management intervention on asthma control level and quality of life in patients with bronchial asthma. Methods:63 patients with bronchial asthma were randomly divided into the observation group ( n=32 ) and the control group (n=31). The self-management intervention was provided for the patients in the observation group and the routine nursing care was taken in the control group,the asthma control level and the scores of quality of life of the patients were compared between the two groups. Results:The asthma control rate,the total score of life quality and the score of other dimensions ( except the limitation of motion) were higher in the observation group than those in the control group (P<0. 05). Conclusion:The self-management intervention can improve the level of asthma control in patients with bronchial asthma and improve their quality of life as well.
