Application of group management model in patients with COPD

Abstract：Objective:To explore the application of group management model in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods:107 hospitalized patients with COPD were randomly divided into the observation group (n=52) and the control group (n=55). The group management model was implemented in the observation group and the routine nursing care and health guidance were used in the control group. The self-management efficacy,respiratory function exercise and the cognitive ability of the disease of the pa-tients were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention. Results:The self-management efficacy,compliance of re-spiratory function exercise and the cognitive ability of the disease of the patients were superior in the observation group to the control group (P<0. 05). Conclusion:The group management model can significantly improve the self-management level,the compliance of respiratory function exercise and the cognitive ability of the disease of the patients with COPD.
