Application of nursing intervention based on the theory of positive psychology in patients with schizophrenia

Abstract：Objective:To explore the effect of application of nursing intervention based on the theory of positive psychology in patients with schizophrenia. Methods:98 patients with schizophrenia were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group (49 ca-ses in each group) . The patients in the control group were given routine nursing care and the patients in the observation group received nursing intervention based on the theory of positive psychology,the scores of positive psychology,mental illness and quality of life of the pa-tients were compared between the two groups before and after nursing care. Results:The scores of positive psychology in any period were significantly higher in the observation group than those in the control group after nursing care (P<0. 05);the scores of schizophrenic symptoms of the patients were significantly lower in the observation group than the control group(P<0. 05);the scores of quality of life of the patients were significantly higher in the observation group than the control group (P<0. 05). Conclusion:Application of nursing inter-vention based on the theory of positive psychology can help the patients improve the positive psychology,decrease the severity of the disease and improve the quality of life.
