Effect of individualized extended nursing care on quality of life of patients with AlDS
Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of individualized extended nursing care on quality of life of patients with AIDS. Methods:86 AIDS patients were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group (43 cases in each group). The patients in the control group were given routine nursing care and the patients in the observation group were provided extra individualized extended nursing care. WHOQOL-HIV was used to evaluate the quality of life of the patients in the two groups after the intervention for 12 months. Re-sults:The scores of physiology,degree of independence,environment and spirit world / religion / personal beliefs of the patients were high-er in the observation group than the control group (P<0. 05);the scores of psychology and social relations of the patients were significant-ly higher in the observation group than the control group (P<0. 01). Conclusion:The individualized extended nursing care can effectively improve the quality of life of patients with AIDS and its effect is lasting.
