Effect of red light irradiation on postoperative patients with perianal abscess and nursing care

Abstract：Objective:To explore the effect of application of red light irradiation in the treatment of patients with perianal abscess and the nursing methods after operation. Methods:60 patients receiving perianal abscess operation were randomly divided into the treatment group(with red light irradiation)and the conventional dressing change group(30 cases in each group). The patients in the conventional dressing change group were given conventional treatment,nursing care,dressing change and health education;the treatment with the red light irradiation was provided for the patients in the treatment group on the 2nd day after operation. The scores of wound pain,edema,sur-face exudates and healing time of the patients were compared between the two groups on the 7th day after operation. Results:There were statistically significant differences in the comparison of the scores of wound pain,edema,surface exudates and healing time of the patients on the 7th day after operation between the two groups(P < 0. 01,P < 0. 05). Conclusion:Application of red light irradiation can improve the treatment effect,reduce postoperative wound pain,edema and surface exudates and shorten the time of wound healing.
