Application of three-stage medication program of a nurse-led cognitive nursing care in patients with cognitive disorder resulting from cerebral stroke

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of application of three-stage medication program of a nurse-led cognitive nursing care in patients with cognitive disorder resulting from cerebral stroke. Methods:120 stroke patients with cognitive disorder were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group(60 cases in each group). The patients in both groups were treated with oxiracetam,at the same time the routine nursing care was taken in the control group and the three-stage medication program of a nurse-led cognitive nurs-ing care was applied in the observation group,the course of treatment was 6 months in both groups. The change of the scores of MoCA, MMSE and ADL was observed in the two groups before and after treatment and the clinical effect was evaluated. Results:The scores of Mo-CA,MMSE and ADL significantly changed after treatment,compared with those before treatment,in the two groups and the improvement was significantly better in the observation group than the control group(P<0. 05);the total effective rate was significantly higher in the observation group than the control group(P>0. 05). Conclusion:The effect of three-stage medication program of a nurse-led cognitive nursing care is satisfactory in the improvement of the cognitive function and ability of ADL of stroke patients with cognitive disorder.
