Comparison of the effect of two kinds of anti pressure ulcer pad applied to the patients with high risk of pressure ulcer
Abstract：Objective:To investigate the application effect of two kinds of anti pressure ulcer pad used in the patients with high risk of pressure ulcer in order to provide the basis for the selection and development of new anti pressure ulcer facilities. Methods:76 hospitalized in-bed patients were randomly divided into the control group(n=37)and the observation group(n=39). The inflatable anti pressure ulcer pad was used in the control group and the electric anti pressure ulcer pad was used in the observation group. The average pressure value and skin temperature of occipitalia,scapular,back and sacrum region,elbow and heel was observed in the two groups. Results:The average pressure value of the pressed parts was lower in the observation group than the control group(P<0. 01);the skin temperature of the pressed parts was lower in the observation group than the control group(P<0. 01);the incidence of pressure ulcer was lower in the ob-servation group than the control group(P < 0. 05). Conclusion:The electric anti pressure ulcer pad can effectively reduce the pressure value of the pressed parts and the incidence of pressure ulcer.
