Effect of multidimensional nursing visit on the quality of life of the discharged patients

Abstract：Objective:The study intends to make a comprehensive and standardized multidimensional nursing visit to the discharged eld-erly patients by working out a multidimensional nursing visit program in order to improve the quality of life of the elderly patients. Methods:66 discharged elderly patients(from November 2011 to August 2012)were randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group(33 cases in each group). The conventional nursing visit was used in the control group and the multidimensional nursing visit was provided for the discharged patients in the experimental group. Results:The scores of the quality of life and satisfaction of the patients were higher in the experimental group than those in the control group(P < 0. 05). Conclusion:The multidimensional nursing visit program,com-pared with the conventional nursing visit,can effectively improve the quality of life and satisfaction of the discharged elderly patients,and it is more easily accepted by the patients.
