A survey on the current status of the demand for parental education in parents of children with cochlear implantation
Abstract：Objective:To conduct a survey on the current status of the demand for parental education in parents of children with cochlear implantation. Methods:The parents of 120 children with cochlear implantation were taken as the object of study. The demand of parents for parental education in aspects of psychological adjustment,social resources and communication was investigated through the questionnaire survey. Results:The parents who received parental education had better impact on the course of adaptation and growth of their children after cochlear implantation. Conclusion:The parental education for parents of children with cochlear implantation is urgently needed,particularly in getting social resources. They hope to know and obtain policies and interests related to those children,such as free cochlear and knowl-edge of language rehabilitation.
