Survey on the situation of job stress and sub - health of nurses engaged in hemodialysis in Xuzhou city

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the relationship between job stress and sub - health of nurses engaged in hemodialysis in Xuzhou city. Methods:The questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate 30 nurses randomly selected from the hemodialysis center of 3 hospi-tals at the different level in Xuzhou city. The survey included general situation,job stress of nurses and epidemiological survey of sub -healthy people. Results:The scores of job stress scale from low to high were interpersonal relationship,working environment,relationship between nurse and patient,nature of nursing work,work intensity and time arrangement;the highest score reflecting the sub - health symp-toms of the nurses was physical conditions 2. 82 ± 0. 48;the lower back pain occurred in 18 nurses,neck ache and shoulder pain occurred in 12 nurses;the sub - health of the nurses was positively correlated with job stress(r = 0. 57,t = 5. 325,P < 0. O5). Conclusion:The long- term high intensity work has some influence on mind and body of nurses engaged in hemodialysis,therefore nursing administrators should take effective measures to alleviate the job stress of nurses.
