Application of self - efficacy intervention to health education of patients with depression complicated with hypertension
Abstract:Objective:To explore the application effect of self - efficacy intervention in health education to patients with depression com-plicated with hypertension. Methods:60 patients with depression complicated with hypertension were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group(30 cases in each group). On the basis of drug treatment, the patients in the control group received convention-al health education and the self - efficacy theory was adopted to conduct health education to the patients in the experimental group. The medication compliance, antihypertensive effect, the score of Hamilton Depression Scale and GQOL1 - 74 were assessed in the two groups respectively at admission and after treatment for 4 weeks. Results:The medication compliance and the score of GQOL1 - 74 was better and higher in the experimental group than the control group after treatment for 4 weeks(P < 0. 05);the score of Hamilton Depression Scale was lower in the experimental group than the control group(P < 0. 01);the blood pressure control is better in the experimental group than the control group(P < 0. 01). Conclusion:The self - efficacy intervention used in the health education to patients with depression complicated with hypertension can improve the medication compliance of the patients, relieve the patient's symptoms of depression, enhance antihyper-tensive effect and can significantly improve the patient's quality of life.
