Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of the continued self - management education on the health knowledge level and self -care ability of patients with coronary heart disease(CHD). Methods:60 patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)were randomly divid-ed into the control group and the observation group(30 cases in each group). The patients in the control group received the conventional health education and the patients in the observation group were additionally provided the continued self - management education. The pa-tients in both groups were followed up for half a year, the differences of secondary prevention behavior, understanding of cardiac rehabilita-tion knowledge, blood glucose and blood lipid level and self - care ability of the patients were observed in the two groups after the interven-tion. Results:The scores of secondary prevention behavior, understanding of cardiac rehabilitation knowledge and self - care ability of the patients were significantly higher in the observation group than the control group after the intervention(P < 0. 05);FPG,2hPBG,HbA1 c, TC,TG,HDL - C were significantly lower in the observation group than the control group after the intervention(P < 0. 05);the level of LDL - C was higher in the observation group than the control group(P < 0. 05). Conclusion:The continued self - management education is conducive to improving the health knowledge level, self - care ability and the level of blood glucose and blood lipid of patients with CHD so as to promote their rehabilitation.
