Application of bundle nursing management of airway in the prevention of hospital acquired pneumonia of patients with GBS

Abstract：Objective:To explore the application effect of bundle nursing management of airway in the prevention of hospital acquired pneumonia of patients with Guillain - Barrie Syndrome(GBS). Methods:28 patients with GBS in hospital N - ICU(from September 2012 to August 2014)were taken as the observation group and the bundle nursing management of airway was adopted in this group;other 23 pa-tients with GBS in hospital N - ICU(from August 2010 to July 2012)were taken as the control group and were not provided bundle nurs-ing intervention of airway. The effectiveness of bundle nursing management of airway was evaluated in the prevention of hospital acquired pneumonia(HAP). Results:There were statistically significant differences in the comparison of the incidence and occurrence time of HAP,duration of mechanical ventilation and length of stay in N - ICU between the two groups(P < 0. 05). Conclusion:The bundle nursing management of airway can effectively prevent the occurrence of HAP in patients with GBS in N - ICU.
