Application of comprehensive nursing care in elderly patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases

Abstract：Objective:To explore the application effect of comprehensive nursing care in elderly patients with cardiovascular and cere-brovascular diseases. Methods:120 elderly patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases were randomly divided into the control group(n ﹦ 64)and the observation group(n ﹦ 56). The patients in the control group received routine nursing care and the patients in the observation group received comprehensive nursing care,including health education,psychological care,precaution nursing and comfort nursing care. The recovery rate,the occurrence of risk factors,psychological status and quality of life of the patients after nursing care were compared between the two groups. Results:There were statistically significant differences in the comparison of the awareness of health knowledge,health consciousness,healthy and good living habits between the two groups after nursing care(P < 0. 05);the differences in the comparison of the scores of SAS and SDS were statistically significant between the two groups(P < 0. 05);the comparison of the recov-ery rate and the occurrence of risk factors was significantly different between the two groups(P < 0. 05);the score of each item in quality of life of the patients was higher in the observation group than the control group after nursing care(P < 0. 05,P < 0. 01). Conclusion:The comprehensive nursing intervention used in the nursing care of elderly patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases can im-prove the life quality of the patients as well as their psychological status.
