Analysis of the factors to cause the abandoning and omission of the items in the physical examination of the staff in a certain hospital at the level of grade Ⅲclass A

Abstract：Objective:To comprehensively analyze the main reasons of the abandoning and omission of the items in the physical exami-nation of the staff in a certain hospital at the level of grade Ⅲclass A in order to provide scientific reference for the implementation of the targeted management. Methods:The data of physical examination of 3 791 employees of the hospital in 2014 were taken as the object of study and the abandoning and omission rate of the items in the physical examination were statistically processed and the reasons were ana-lyzed by fishbone diagram,and the corresponding management countermeasures were put forward. Results:562 copies of 3 791 medical doc-uments of the physical examination were abandoned and the abandoning rate was 14. 82% ,the rate was higher in male than in female(P <0. 05);it was higher in minority people than that in the Han nationality(P < 0. 05). The omitted physical examination items were mainly the items of dental,eyes and ENT examination. The main reason for abandoning examination was because of poor health consciousness. Conclusion:The abandoning and omission of the items is relatively common in the physical examination of the hospital staff. The managers should strengthen management so as to provide convenient and efficient medical service for clients in the physical check - up.
