The routine nursing care was taken in the control group and the integrat-ed nursing intervention with the methods of both TCM and Western medicine was adopted in the experimental group based on the routine nursing care. The degree of postoperative pain of the patients, the time of hospitalization and patient's satisfaction with nursing service were compared between the two groups. Results:The incidence of moderate and severe pain of the patients was 20﹪ in the experimental group and significantly lower than 42. 86﹪ in the control group;the time of hospitalization was 6. 73 ± 2. 11 days in the experimental group and signifi-cantly shorter than 9. 35 ± 1. 94 days in the control group;the scores of patient's satisfaction with nursing service were 93. 62 ± 3. 95 points in the experimental group and significantly higher than 82. 19 ± 3. 74 points in the control group, the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P﹤0. 05). Conclusion:The integrated nursing care with the methods of both TCM and Western medicine for the pa-tients with fracture of femoral shaft can significantly improve the therapeutic effect and their life quality and the relationship between nurses and patients as well.
